Maritza Bond

Maritza Bond, MPH, serves as the Director of Public Health for the City of New Haven since January 2020 and is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Bridgeport. Previously, Bond was the Director of Public Health & Social Services for the City of Bridgeport from November 2016 to January 2020 and has extensive experience in public health administration. Bond's leadership extends to the Eastern Connecticut Area Health Education Center Inc., where as Executive Director from September 2006 to October 2016, efforts focused on enhancing healthcare access and workforce development. Bond was also a 2014 National Rural Health Fellow and a member of the State Innovation Model Initiative. Educational credentials include a Master’s degree in Public Health from The University of Connecticut Health Center and a B.S. in Public Health from Southern Connecticut State University.
