Brett Kellum has extensive work experience in the field of auditing and financial analysis. Brett has been working at the University of Colorado since 2013, starting as an Audit Senior and progressing to roles such as Audit Manager, Senior Audit Manager, and currently, Audit Director. During their time at the University of Colorado, Brett has performed financial, operational, and compliance audits across multiple campuses. Brett holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) since May 2015 and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) since July 2018.
Prior to their work at the University of Colorado, Brett worked at Rocky Mountain Health Plans from 2003 to 2013. Brett started as a Senior Data Analyst and later became a Staff Auditor. Brett also had a role as a Database Consultant at the Rocky Mountain Health Plans Foundation from 2007 to 2012.
Additionally, Brett has experience as a Graduate Assistant in Statistics at Colorado State University from 2000 to 2002, as well as a Pharmacy Technician at Banner Home MedSolutions from 1999 to 2000. Brett began their career as a Center for Human Enrichment (CHE) Tutor at the University of Northern Colorado from 1997 to 1998.
Brett Kellum holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Statistics from Colorado State University, which they completed from 2000 to 2002. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Political Science and Mathematics (Double Major) from the University of Northern Colorado, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Additionally, they obtained certifications such as Certified Fraud Examiner from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE) in 2018 and Certified Internal Auditor from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2015.
