José-Luis Riera currently serves as Vice President for Student Life at the University of Delaware, a position held since August 2010, where responsibilities include coordinating the student withdrawal process, overseeing various student engagement events, and implementing strategic plans for student affairs. Previous roles include Associate Vice President/Dean of Students and Director of Residential Living at Drexel University, as well as educational development positions at the University of Maryland, Colorado State University, and Muhlenberg College. José-Luis Riera holds a Ph.D. in College Student Personnel Administration from the University of Maryland, a Master’s degree in Student Affairs in Higher Education from Colorado State University, and a Bachelor’s degree in Music and Biology from Muhlenberg College.
