Daniel Paredes

Daniel Paredes, Ph.D., is a Research Assistant Professor at the Knoebel Institute for Healthy Aging and the Ritchie School of Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Denver, positions held since July 2016 and January 2021, respectively. Additionally, Daniel serves as an Assistant Professor at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine since July 2015. Previous roles include Research Associate at the Colorado Neurological Institute and Investigator at the Lieber Institute for Brain Development. Daniel's early career included positions as a Biochemist at the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke (NINDS) and a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Eunice Kennedy Shriver National Institute of Child Health and Human Development (NICHD). Daniel earned a Ph.D. in Molecular Pharmacology and Therapeutics and Physiology from the University of South Florida and holds a Master of Science in Medical Sciences and a Licentiate degree in Biology from Universidad del Zulia.
