Sophie Day is a Senior Research Associate at the University of East Anglia, currently on secondment to North Norfolk District Council and Coastal Partnership East, where Sophie leads research on a NERC innovation-funded project focused on sustainable growth in integrated terrestrial, coastal, and marine economies. In addition to academic roles, Sophie has practiced as a self-employed artist since 2012, specializing in lino-printing inspired by deconstructed bicycles. Previous experience includes serving as a Communications and Community Relations Assistant for the Sainsbury Centre for Visual Arts, a Research Fellow at the University of Southampton, and a Senior Research Associate at Atkins, with a focus on climate change and environmental futures. Sophie holds a PhD in Climate Change Communication and Public Engagement, a BSc in Environmental Sciences, and has completed various art and design qualifications.
