Jo Harris

Jo Harris serves as the Founding Dean of Medicine at the University of East London since January 2025 and is also a Governor focused on Health and Safety at St Paul's School. Since January 2016, Jo Harris has been a sessional General Practitioner with the NHS. Prior roles include Dean of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at the University of Buckingham from September 2019 to December 2024 and various leadership positions at Imperial College London from January 2014 to September 2019, including Deputy Head of Undergraduate Medicine and Director of Curriculum and Assessment. Jo Harris has contributed as an external examiner for medical programs at Plymouth University and the University of Warwick between 2015 and 2019. Educational qualifications include a Professional Doctorate in Education from IOE - UCL's Faculty of Education and Society, a Master's in Medical Education from the University of Bedfordshire, and a BSc (Anat) MBBS in Medicine from Charing Cross and Westminster Hospital medical school.
