Tristan Parkes is an accomplished Programme Leader for Sound and Music for Theatre BA (Hons) at the University of East London since May 2020, also serving as a composer and musical director for projects like "Reparation Island" with Birmingham Hippodrome. With extensive experience as a composer for Blackeyed Theatre Company, Tristan has contributed to productions such as "Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde" and "Sherlock Holmes, The Sign of Four," touring internationally. In addition to a long-standing role as an Associate Artist and musical director with the National Youth Theatre since 2001, Tristan has held various educational positions, including former Program Leader in Performing Arts at the University of East London and Head of Music at Hornsey School for Girls. Educational qualifications include a degree in Contemporary Arts from Nottingham Trent University and earlier studies at Dartington College of Arts.
