Martin Kahanec

Martin Kahanec is a Professor at Central European University since January 2010, focusing on research and teaching, including supervision of MA and PhD students. Kahanec serves as a Research Scientist at the University of Economics, Bratislava since November 2015, and has been a member of the Editorial Board for the Journal of European Social Policy since January 2018. Additionally, Kahanec is the Founder and Scientific Director of the Central European Labour Studies Institute and has held the position of Associate Editor for the International Journal of Manpower since November 2013. Previous roles include Visiting Research Fellow and Deputy Program Director for "Migration" at IZA, as well as Managing Editor of the IZA Journal of European Labor Studies. Kahanec has contributed to prestigious institutions such as Harvard University and The World Bank and has an extensive educational background with a PhD in Economics from Tilburg University and an MA in Economics from Central European University.
