Assistant Director Of Facilities And Event Management Operations at University of Houston Athletics

Andrew Alba has extensive work experience in event management and facility operations. Andrew currently holds the position of Assistant Director of Facilities and Event Management Operations at the University of Houston Athletics since July 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Rice University as an Assistant Director of Facilities & Events from July 2019 to July 2022, and as a Facilities and Events Assistant from August 2018 to July 2019. Additionally, Andrew worked as a Game Day Intern at the Brazos Valley Bombers, where they played a significant role in the planning and organization of summer youth camps and contributed to a 22% increase in revenue. Before that, they served as a Golf Grounds Crew member at Traditions Club from September 2016 to February 2018. Andrew's earlier experience includes working as an Office Assistant at the Laredo Builder's Association from May 2014 to August 2014.

Andrew Alba completed their education at Texas A&M University, where they earned a Bachelor's Degree in Sports Management from 2013 to 2018. Prior to attending university, they graduated from J.W. Nixon High School between 2009 and 2013. In addition to their academic achievements, they obtained two certifications: TABC Seller Server Training from the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission in April 2016 and Texas Food Handler Education from the Texas Food Handler Training Course, also in April 2016.
