Robert Skelton Clarke has extensive work experience in the field of international student recruitment and global engagement. Robert worked at the University of Hull for a significant period, starting as an International Officer for off-campus programs in 2002 and progressing to become the Deputy Director of the International Office in 2013. In this role, they were responsible for developing and implementing the university's international student recruitment strategy. Robert also managed the university's offices in China and Malaysia. In 2020, Robert Skelton Clarke took on the position of Head of Global Strategy Office, where they were tasked with implementing the university's international strategy and promoting its global reputation. Prior to their career in higher education, Robert Skelton Clarke worked as a Property Valuer and Sales Negotiator at Whitegates Estate Agents, where they were responsible for property valuations, sales negotiations, and client liaison.
Robert Skelton Clarke began their education at the University of Hull in 1994, where they pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in American Studies and English. Robert completed this degree in 1997. Following this, they continued their education at the same institution, obtaining a Master of Philosophy degree in English Literature part-time from 1997 to 2001.
