Karen Colley

Provost & Vice Chancellor, Academic Affairs at University of Illinois at Chicago

Karen Colley has an extensive academic background, with a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from Washington University in St. Louis and a BS in Chemistry/Biochemistry from Duke University. Karen has held various roles at the University of Illinois Chicago, including Provost and Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs, Professor at the UIC College of Medicine, Dean of the Graduate College, and Acting Provost and Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs. Karen also served as Interim University Librarian and Dean of Libraries at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Prior to their time at UIC, Karen was a Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA.
