Bushra Akhtar

Bushra Akhtar is a seasoned data and technology professional currently serving as the Data Integration Manager at the University of Kent since November 2023. Previously, Bushra worked at Evelyn Partners as a Technical Specialist in Tax Technology, where expertise in technical data and automation streamlined the resolution of complex tax-related issues. With extensive experience at LGC as a Business Information Manager, leadership was demonstrated in championing data analytics and overseeing a £400m medical research portfolio. Bushra's entrepreneurial spirit is highlighted through the founding of Rent Simple, which provided co-living spaces in London, and significant contributions in various analytical roles at organizations such as GettyImages, MarketAxess, Wilmington plc, Barclays, Morgan Stanley, and Deutsche Bank. Bushra holds an MSc in Computer Science from the University of Birmingham and a BSc (Hons.) in Biomedical Science from The University of Sheffield.
