Dr. Sarah Plumb is a Senior Research Associate at the University of Leicester's Research Centre for Museums and Galleries, with a focus on socially engaged arts practice and its interplay with art galleries as mediation institutions. Since joining in 2013, Dr. Plumb has contributed to various impactful research projects aimed at fostering inclusivity within cultural organizations. Previous roles include Arts Award Advisor for Arts Council England, Associate Lecturer at Manchester Metropolitan University, and Project Manager for Modern Art Oxford, where innovative learning and community projects were developed. Dr. Plumb holds a PhD in Art Museum and Gallery Studies from the University of Leicester and has an extensive educational background in fine art and gallery studies.
