Yusrizam Sharifuddin currently serves as the Principal Assistant Director at the Ministry of Science, Technology and Innovation, leading the Technology and Product Development Section of the National Nanotechnology Centre since March 2022. Concurrently, Yusrizam holds the position of Senior Lecturer at the Institut Sains Biologi within the Faculty of Science at the University of Malaya, where teaching and research activities focus on molecular toxicology and metabolic disorders. Additional roles include Deputy Head of Development & Logistics at ISB, Associate Member of the Global Planning and Strategy Centre, and Programme and Technical Advisor at UM Office for Industry and Community Engagement. Yusrizam's previous experience includes serving as Deputy Director of the University of Malaya Centre for Innovation and Commercialization and participating in the 58th Batch of the IATSS Forum in Japan. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Molecular and Genetic Toxicology from Swansea University, a Postgraduate Diploma in Laws from the University of London, a B.Sc. in Genetics from Swansea University, and a Graduate Diploma in International Relations from the University of London.
