Rachel Pooley

Rachel Pooley is an accomplished professional in the field of materials chemistry with extensive experience in research and innovation. Currently serving as an Advisor and Co-Founder & Director at CrystalGrower since February 2021, Rachel also holds the position of Innovation Discovery Manager at the University of Manchester Innovation Factory from October 2023. Previously, Rachel completed a PhD in Materials Chemistry at The University of Manchester, focusing on crystal growth of nanoparticles. Notable experiences include a graduate scholarship at the A*STAR Institute in Singapore, participation in the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science Summer Program, and a summer internship at the Centre for Nanoporous Materials. Additionally, Rachel contributed to the community as a Lead Mentor for Debate Mate and has worked in various service roles early in their career.
