Matthew Wakefield

Matthew Wakefield has extensive experience in genomics and bioinformatics, with a focus on Australian mammals. Matthew has held positions as a Postdoctoral Research Scientist and Lecturer in Genetics at Australian National University and La Trobe University respectively. Currently, Matthew is a Senior Research Scientist at WEHI, where Matthew specializes in ovarian cancer biology and genomics, utilizing functional genomics, synthetic biology, and computational biology for cancer treatment selection. Additionally, Matthew serves as a Senior Research Fellow and Senior Honorary Fellow at the University of Melbourne, contributing to research in ovarian cancer genomics and computational biology within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology.
