Brakes Team Co-leader at University of Michigan Solar Car Team

Jay Lee is a Mechanical Engineering student at the University of Michigan, set to graduate in December 2025, with a minor in Computer Science. Currently serving as a Research Assistant at MMINT lab, Jay Lee has been instrumental in implementing a tactile membrane sensor on a robot arm and enhancing robotic accuracy through advanced data modeling techniques. As the Founding Vice President of WolverBot Kickers, Jay Lee is designing a 16 DOF kid-sized humanoid robot for the 2025 Robot Cup. Additionally, as Co-Leader of the Brakes Team for the University of Michigan Solar Car Team, Jay Lee contributed to brake system design for the World Solar Challenge. Previous roles include Project Manager at Biomeme, where oversight of engineers facilitated the production of the CK-30 urine analyzer, and Mechanical Designer, where Jay Lee developed portable urine analyzers. Experience also includes academic tutoring and technical internships that enhanced mechanical system knowledge and design skills.
