Philip Shapiro

Philip Shapiro is an experienced finance and administration professional, currently serving as Chief Investment Officer and Interim Senior VP of Finance & Administration at the University of New England since June 2022. Additionally, Shapiro holds the role of Treasurer for the Town of Westwood, Massachusetts, and previously worked as Interim Vice President of Finance & Administration at Wheaton College Massachusetts. Shapiro's extensive background includes a decade-long tenure at ISO New England Inc., where Philip was a member of the Board of Directors and served as Chairman from 2014 to 2019. Other notable positions include Financial Consultant for the Massachusetts Medical Society and various interim leadership roles across several educational institutions. Shapiro holds a B.A. in Sociology/Anthropology from Amherst College, an MBA from Boston College, and an M.Ed. in Higher Education/Student Personnel from the University of Maine.
