Claire B. is currently a Student Trainee at the USDA Economic Research Service, focusing on classifying state expenditure data to enhance reporting on U.S. agricultural support. Since September 2020, Claire has served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, working on significant projects related to disability inclusion in child care and the evaluation of racial equity in early care and education funding. Previous experience includes roles as an Economic Justice Fellow for Share Our Strength, a Child Nutrition Intern for D.C. Hunger Solutions, and an Economic Justice Intern for Nebraska Appleseed, all of which involved outreach and advocacy for food assistance programs. Claire holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Bachelor of Arts in Public Policy from Duke University.
