Quinton Johnson has had a diverse range of work experiences throughout their career. Quinton most recently served as the Chief Compliance Officer and Export Control Officer at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, starting in 2020. Prior to that, they worked at Virginia Commonwealth University for a significant period of time, where they held various roles including Director of Trade Compliance and Privacy, as well as Senior Compliance Analyst. Before entering the academic field, Quinton had served as an Adjunct Faculty member at Forsyth Technical Community College, where they taught Business Law. Quinton also worked as a Policy Analyst at The George Washington University Columbian College of Arts & Sciences. In addition, they gained associateship experience at Tolin & Tolin, PLLC, where they managed multiple time-sensitive projects, conducted legal research, and acted as a point of contact for clients. Quinton Johnson obtained a J.D. degree in Law from Wake Forest University School of Law, where they studied from 2010 to 2013. Additionally, they obtained a certification as an Export Compliance Professional - EAR/ITAR (ECoP®) from the Export Compliance Training Institute, Inc. in December 2014.
