Ninette Caruso

Ninette Caruso joined the UNT System as Chief Audit Executive in 2020. Under the direction of the UNT System Board of Regents’ Audit and Finance Committee, the Internal Audit department independently examines and evaluates operations of the system and its member institutions.

Caruso joined the UNT System after serving five years as Chief Audit Executive for Discover Financial Services. As global CAE for Discover, Caruso was accountable for the development and execution of the audit plan in alignment with risk management, control and governance oversight of Discover Financial Service’s business units: Global Payments, Consumer Lending, Direct Banking and support functions. Caruso began her career with KPMG in Johannesburg, South Africa, before relocating to the United States upon joining Arthur Andersen’s risk management group in 1998. Prior to her arrival at Discover in 2015, Caruso served in leadership roles for Bank One, Nationwide Insurance and Genworth Financial.
