Charles Bears

Charles Bears has significant experience in the field of media technology and production. Charles served as the Chief Video Services Officer for Penn Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania Health System from 2019. In this role, they were responsible for the strategic vision, development of technical infrastructure, and project implementation of multimedia services supporting various areas of the Penn Medicine mission. Charles also oversaw exempt and non-exempt staff, subcontractors, and directed project management initiatives. Before this role, Charles served as the Director of Media Technology & Production at both the University of Pennsylvania and Penn Medicine. In these positions, they worked closely with departmental directors, provided audiovisual services, technology system integrations, and consulting. Charles held the position at Penn Medicine from 1994 to 2019, demonstrating their long-standing commitment to the organization.
