Buddhi Marambe

Buddhi Marambe is a Senior Professor of Weed Science at the University of Peradeniya, with a distinguished career starting in October 1986. Marambe held various leadership roles, including Chairman of the Board of Study in Crop Science and Director of the Agriculture Education Unit, contributing significantly to research and teaching in areas such as Invasive Alien Plants, Climate Change, and Food Security. Additionally, Marambe served as Dean of the Department of Crop Science and managed the University Experimental Station at Dodangolla. Educational qualifications include a B.Sc. in Agriculture from the University of Peradeniya and advanced degrees in Plant Environmental Sciences from Hiroshima University.
