Lauren Scott Rivera, J.D., M.Ed., serves as the Vice President for Student Life and the Dean of Students. Prior to this role, she served as the Interim Vice President for Student Life and Dean of Students for the 2022-23 academic year.
From 2015 to 2022, Lauren served as Assistant Vice President for Student Formation and Campus Life (Student Life) and Dean of Students, a role that allowed her to focus her efforts on student advocacy and support while working with colleagues to foster a vibrant and transformative learning experience for our students. As Assistant Vice President and Dean of Students, she led the Center for Health Education and Wellness (CHEW), the Center for Student Engagement, the Cultural Centers (Jane Kopas Women's Center and Multicultural Center), the Dean of Students Office, and the Office of Residence Life. She also served as moderator for Student Government.
Prior to coming to the University, Lauren worked in the Office of Judicial Affairs at The Pennsylvania State University, where she earned both a Juris Doctorate and a Master of Education. She graduated from Bucknell University with a Bachelor or Arts in political science and religion.
