Robert Thunell

Robert Thunell is a seasoned academic with extensive experience in the field of oceanography. Currently serving as the Senior Associate Dean for Natural Sciences and Professor at the University of South Carolina since August 1979, Robert has contributed significantly to the academic community. Prior to this role, Robert was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution from January 1978 to August 1979. Robert earned a PhD in Oceanography from the University of Rhode Island, where studies were conducted from 1973 to 1978, and a BA in Bio-Geology from Brown University from 1969 to 1973.
