Lexi Allerheiligen is the HRBP Process Improve & Policy Specialist at the University of South Florida. Lexi has over three years of experience in customer service and administrative support. Lexi has a strong background in process improvement, policy development, and project management.
Lexi began their career as a Rehabilitation Technician with the Division of Blind Services, where they helped clients with disabilities find employment. Lexi then became an Employment Placement Specialist, helping place clients in jobs that were a good match for their skills and abilities. In this role, they developed a strong understanding of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and its requirements for employers.
Lexi then took a position as a Student Mentor at Tallahassee Community College, where they worked with students to help them succeed in their studies. During their time at TCC, they also completed an internship with Progressive Pediatric Therapy Services.
After graduating from college, Lexi began working as a Hearing Aid Specialist with McDonnell Hearing Solutions. In this role, they were responsible for scheduling appointments, maintaining patient files, submitting insurance claims, and providing cleaning and maintenance services for hearing aids. Lexi also educated patients and their families about hearing loss and helped them choose the right hearing aid for their needs.
Lexi’s experience in customer service, process improvement, and project management has made their an asset to the University of South Florida’s HR department. In their current role, they are responsible for improving HR processes and developing policies that comply with the ADA.
Lexi Allerheiligen has a graduate certificate in Disabilities in Society from the University of Florida, a master's degree in Education from the University of South Florida, a bachelor's degree in Family and Child Sciences from Florida State University, and an associate of science degree from Northwest Florida State College.
