Keith O'Brien

Keith O'Brien is a seasoned professional in intellectual property management with extensive experience in both academic and corporate settings. Currently serving as Senior IP & Enterprise Development Manager at the University of Sussex since April 2010, Keith has played a pivotal role in the development, protection, and commercialization of the University's intellectual property. Prior to this position, Keith held various roles including European IP Manager at Atmel Corporation and Intellectual Property Manager at Imerys Minerals Ltd. Keith's earlier career includes positions as Patent Practitioner at K.R. Bryer & Co. and Patent and Trade Mark Assistant at Urquhart-Dykes & Lord LLP. Educational credentials include an LLM in Corporate and Commercial Law from the University of Southampton, an MSc in Management of Intellectual Property from Queen Mary University of London, and a BSc (Hons) in Chemistry with Business Studies from Swansea University.
