Prior to moving to the Twin Ports to work at UWS, Taylor attended undergraduate and graduate school at the University of North Dakota in Experimental/General Psychology. As a graduate student, she taught several undergraduate courses and served as a teaching assistant for numerous courses. During graduate school, she became interested in how curriculum and processes work in higher education, which was an invaluable experience to her current work as an advisor. She also assisted with advising students if their faculty advisors were unavailable. While serving in this role, Taylor realized that her true passion was with working with college students, and her love of higher education was born.
Taylor’s favorite part of advising at UWS is getting to know her students as they progress through the program, and watching new students come in unsure about the teaching profession blossom as student teachers at the end of the program is the most rewarding part. In her free time, Taylor enjoys spending time with her husband Andrew, spending time with her flock of poultry and rescue dogs, and doing pretty much anything outside!
