Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer at University of Wisconsin System

Kelly Cook has a diverse work experience in human resources and diversity inclusion roles. Kelly most recently worked at the University of Wisconsin System as the Deputy Chief Human Resources Officer. Prior to that, they served as the Title IX Coordinator at the Madison Metropolitan School District. Kelly also held the position of Assistant Director Employee Relations and Diversity at the University of Wisconsin System from 2019 to 2021. Kelly has a strong background in equity, diversity, and inclusion work, having served as the Director of the Office of Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion; Title IX Coordinator at the University of Wisconsin-Extension from 2014 to 2019. Kelly'sexperience also includes roles as an Affirmative Action Officer at the University of Wisconsin System and a Human Resources Assistant - Recruitment and Selection at the City of Vancouver. Kelly began their career as an HR Administrator/Accountant at VF Leasing, where they provided support in human resources and accounting functions.

Kelly Cook completed their education with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Missouri-Saint Louis, which took place from 1992 to 1996. Kelly further pursued their education at the University of Phoenix, where they obtained a Master of Arts degree in Organizational Management from 2000 to 2002. In addition to their academic qualifications, Kelly Cook also holds several certifications, including the Leading at a Distance certification from LinkedIn, obtained in April 2020. Kelly also obtained the AWI Training Institute Certificate from the American Association of Workplace Investigations in July 2019, and the Certified Affirmative Action Professional certification from the American Association for Access, Equity, and Diversity in July 2018.
