Gulden Akdemir

Gulden Akdemir has extensive work experience in various financial and managerial roles. Gulden is currently the Managing Director at ÜNLÜ & Co since 2023. Previously, they served as the Chief Financial Officer at the Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC) from 2011 to 2016. During their tenure at ICBC, they played a key role in the sale of Tekstilbank and its rebranding as ICBC Turkey. Before that, Gulden worked as a Free Lance Trainer at Minerva Egitim ve Danismanlik AS from 2008 to 2011. Gulden also held positions at HSBC Bank PLC UK, including Head of Management Information and Planning from 2006 to 2007, and Chief Financial Officer at Midland Bank Istanbul (later renamed HSBC Bank AS) from 1995 to 2006. Gulden actively participated in HSBC's acquisition projects in Turkey during this time. Gulden began their career as an Auditor at Arthur Andersen & Co., where they worked on audit and consultancy projects for major Turkish banks and manufacturing companies from 1989 to 1995.

Gulden Akdemir completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Business from Istanbul University, which they attended from 1985 to 1989. Gulden later pursued a degree in Sociology at Anadolu University from 2013 to 2017. Prior to their university education, Gulden attended Robert College from 1977 to 1985 for their high school education.
