Jessana Y.

Jessana Y. has extensive experience in the field of finance and financial management. Jessana started their career as an Audit In Charge at Punongbayan & Araullo in 1994, where they led audit teams and provided value-added services to clients. In 1997, they became a Financial Analyst at Ammirati Puris Lintas before transitioning to SPL WorldGroup as a Senior Finance Manager. In this role, they managed the overall financial operations and served as the Director and Treasurer of the Board.

In 2007, Jessana joined the Asian Development Bank (ADB) as a Senior Financial and Risk Management Officer. Jessana was responsible for policy formulation, capacity building, and providing technical advice on financial management aspects of projects. After a decade at ADB, they moved to the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank as an Investment Administrator, where they managed loan, grant, and equity investments.

In 2020, Jessana joined the Green Climate Fund as a Financial Management Consultant. Jessana'sresponsibilities included reviewing budget and procurement proposals, providing advisory services on accounting and budgeting issues, and ensuring compliance with legal agreements and policies. Currently, they are working as the Head of the Field Finance Office at UNRWA, where they manage a finance team and oversees accounting, budget, and treasury operations, among other responsibilities.

Jessana Y. completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Accountancy from the University of Santo Tomas, from 1990 to 1994. Jessana then obtained their certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the Philippine Professional Regulation Commission in January 1995. In 2010, they also obtained the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation from the CFA Institute, specializing in Finance, General.
