Brooke McEver has a long history of working in the fashion and sustainability industry. In 2012, they began their career at BEXTEX Ltd. as a Sustainability Manager and Textile Designer, where they created textile designs for clients such as Zara and Calvin Klein, and developed and coordinated samples with screen printing, embroidery, and dying houses. In 2016, they moved to Facebook as a Design/CSR Strategist, where they coordinated user research and UX testing between three engineering teams, compiled qualitative user research, and traveled to India to assess the environment and social impact of a new product. In 2017, they joined the Sustainable Fashion Alliance as the Director of Strategy, where they consulted on contracts with companies like Huston Textile and Fibershed on Supply Chain strategy and innovation, and organized sold out events with panelists from companies like Mara Hoffman, Canopy, Vans, C2C, etc. Finally, in 2018, they joined unspun as the Director of Product Innovation and Product Lead & Sustainability, where they set up the initial supply chain, vendor relationships, and sustainable materials goals, and developed and maintained multiple partnerships and pilots with B2B partners.
Brooke McEver attended Stanford University from 2015 to 2017, earning a Masters degree in Design Impact. Prior to that, they attended Savannah College of Art and Design from 2008 to 2012, where they earned a Bachelor degree in Textiles, with a minor in Design for Sustainability.
