Emily Herrell

Emily Herrell is a dedicated scientific lab technician currently engaged in structural studies of Fatty Acid Amide Hydrolase (FAAH) isoforms in the legume Medicago truncatula at the UNT BioDiscovery Institute since November 2020. Prior to this role, Emily accumulated over six years of laboratory research experience at UT Southwestern Medical Center, contributing to significant studies in miRNA processing and biogenesis within the Nam Lab. Emily's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Texas, obtained in 2012, and is currently pursuing a Master of Science in Biology at the same institution, expected to graduate in 2025.
