Venkat Subramanian

Venkat Subramanian is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in data architecture and engineering. Currently serving as Director of Cloud Data Movement and Engineering at Unum since May 2019, Venkat specializes in streamlining data from legacy systems to modern cloud platforms, enhancing master data management and data quality, and improving customer satisfaction through data access agility. Previously, as Data Architecture Lead at BBVA Compass, Venkat managed big data architecture initiatives and operational data ingestion processes, successfully migrating data from mainframe systems to big data environments. Earlier roles included Revenue Application Management at Southern Company, where Venkat provided critical support for business planning using analytical tools, and various positions at Accenture, where Venkat led the implementation of an e-commerce system. Venkat holds an MBA in Finance from the University of Alabama at Birmingham and degrees in Information Technology and Mathematics.
