Benjamin C. “Clay” Moïse, II is President of UP Professional Solutions, LLC.
With over 40 years of professional experience in manufacturing environments, Clay has held positions in various disciplines. His versatility is demonstrated through these varied assignments, which include work on the production floor, in facilities & product design, contracts and pricing, business development and engineering and operations management.
Other than being President of UP, he has been President and Principal Consultant of Hillcrest Consulting, LLC, specializing in government contract consulting since 2007. He served as a Division Manager for Danos, a privately held oilfield service company located in southeast Louisiana. Prior to joining Danos, Clay was the Chief Executive Officer of Control Solutions, Inc., a Chicago based manufacturer of intelligent motion controls for the commercial, medical and defense industries. Prior to his tenure at Control Solutions, he culminated a successful, 22 year career at Textron Marine and Land Systems (TM&LS), a Division of Textron Inc. During his tenure at TM&LS he held progressively more responsible positions including Senior Marine Designer, Pricing Analyst, Manager of Pricing & Parametric Estimating, Vice President, Business Development and Administration; Vice President, Business Development and Engineering; and Vice President, Marine and Combat Vehicles.
Prior to joining Textron, he was a self-employed Marine Designer/Estimator for Halter Marine; Bell Aerospace Textron, Inc.; Design Associates, Inc.; and Bollinger Machine Shop and Shipyard. He also held positions with Cali and Associates; Avondale Shipyards Inc.; and Breit and Garcia, Naval Architects and Marine Engineers.
He holds undergraduate degrees in Management and Marketing from the University of New Orleans, (UNO). He also received a Masters of Business Administration from UNO, which was conferred with a certificate of achievement for Academic Excellence. In May 2007, he was selected as the UNO College of Business Administration, Alumnus of the Year. His professional memberships include participation in The American Marketing Association, National Contract Management Association, The Society of Naval Architects and Marine Engineers, The Navy League of the United States, National Defense Industrial Association, and the Association of the U.S. Army. He is on the Board of Directors of Universal Personnel and The New Orleans Navy League (Past President).
Clay is a life-long resident of the Greater New Orleans area. He and his wife of 36 years, Michelle, reside in Metairie, Louisiana. They have five adult children; Benjamin, Matthew, Jacqueline, Daniel and Andrew. They also have two grandchildren; Matthew and Aya and two grandchildren on the way.
