Nathan Olson

Nathan Olson has a diverse work experience in the field of security engineering and IT support. Nathan currently holds the position of Lead Security Engineer at Updater since March 2023. Prior to that, they worked as a Security Engineer at Plaid from August to December 2022. From June 2019 to August 2022, Nathan served as a Security Automation Engineer at Personal Capital. Before that, they worked as a Security Analyst at Forcepoint from November 2017 to May 2019. Nathan also served as an IoT Integration Engineer at Ihiji (acquired by Control4 Corporation) from March 2015 to November 2017. Nathan started their career as a Systems Administrator in the United States Marine Corps in September 2008 and also worked as a Help Desk Manager from March 2006 to September 2009.

Nathan Olson holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Computer Science from Park University. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from GIAC Certifications, including GIAC Cloud Security Automation (GCSA), GIAC Cloud Security Essentials (GCLD), GIAC Cloud Penetration Tester (GCPN), GIAC Web Application Penetration Tester (GWAPT), GIAC Python Coder (GPYC), GIAC Certified Penetration Tester (GPEN), GIAC Continuous Monitoring Certification (GMON), GIAC Certified Enterprise Defender (GCED), and GIAC Security Essentials Certification (GSEC). The certifications were obtained between the years 2017 and 2022.
