Cynthia Ruggeiro has extensive experience in the field of optometry and public health. Cynthia is currently working as an Associate Optometric Physician at Puget Sound Eye Care. In 2020, they served as a member of the Phased Approach Task Force to Restarting WA State Healthcare Systems, where they advised Governor Jay Inslee on restarting healthcare during the COVID-19 pandemic. Cynthia was also the Chair of the COVID-19 Task Force at Optometric Physicians of Washington, coordinating optometry's response to the pandemic and assisting with PPE design. Previously, Cynthia worked as the Co-Director of the Uplift NW Eye Clinic and as a Healthy Eyes Healthy People State Consultant for the American Optometric Association. Cynthia started their career as an Optometrist in 1995 and practiced until 2022.
