Ville Parkkinen

Ville Parkkinen has extensive work experience in the operations, planning, and sourcing fields. Ville is currently the Director of Operations at UPM - The Biofore Company since January 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Manager of Planning & Coordination at the same company from June 2021 to March 2023.

Before joining UPM, Ville Parkkinen held the position of Director of Wood Supply & Bioenergy at Koskisen from December 2017 to June 2021.

Ville Parkkinen also has a significant history with UPM - The Biofore Company, where they assumed multiple roles from 2008 to 2017, including Sourcing Manager, Project Advisor, Sourcing Manager for Wood and Biomass, Planning Manager for Wood and Biomass, Operations Manager for Wood and Biomass in Russia, and Import & Logistics Manager for Wood and Biomass Sourcing.

Ville also took a break from their career to go on paternal leave from October 2015 to April 2016.

Ville Parkkinen obtained their Master's degree in Forest Economics from the University of Helsinki, studying from 2002 to 2008.
