Melanie M. has a diverse work experience spanning over a decade. Melanie currently serves as the Sr. Director, Human Resources at Upper Crust Food Service since 2023. Prior to that, they worked as the Human Resources Manager at College Chefs, LLC from 2021 to 2023. In 2020, they joined Rivian as a People Partner (HR), where they were responsible for building new HR procedures and policies. Before that, they held the position of Manager, HR Business Partner at L3Harris Technologies from 2019 to 2020. Melanie also has experience as an Employee Human Resources Manager at Current, powered by GE from 2018 to 2019, and as an On-Site HR Account Manager at Express Employment Professionals from 2015 to 2017. Additionally, they gained valuable HR and labor relations experience as an HR/Labor Relations Intern at Ford Motor Company in 2017. Melanie started their career at Patch Adams MD & Gesundheit Institute as the Director of Development & Programs, where they excelled in recruitment and fundraising roles from 2009 to 2015, earning $1.6 million in a 2-year period through their efforts.

Melanie M. holds a Master's Degree in Masters of Human Resources & Industrial Relations from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, School of Labor and Employment Relations. Prior to that, they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Nonpro˛t Management & Philosophy from The Evergreen State College. In addition to their formal education, they have received certifications in change management from Catalyst University, a program offered by Ernst & Young J&M Management Consulting GmbH, and in Personnel Relations Leadership from GE in 2018.
