Joseph Ogea, NCSO has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies and roles. Joseph began their career in 2005 as a Heavy Equipment Operator with Cliffs Natural Resources, where they worked until 2011. From 2011 to 2015, they served as a Shift Supervisor and Dispatch for the same company. Joseph then transitioned to the role of Safety/Training Rep, a position they held until 2016. In 2016, they joined Upper Peninsula Power Company as a System Operator, a role they held until 2019. From 2019 to 2020, they worked as a Mine Operations Supervisor for Cleveland-Cliffs Inc. Currently, Joseph is employed at Upper Peninsula Power Company as a System Operations Technical Specialist/Trainer, a position they have held since October 2020.
Joseph Ogea, NCSO, has a Bachelor's degree in Finance, General from Northern Michigan University, which they obtained between 2005 and 2009. Joseph also holds a Certificate in Emergency Medical Technology from Marquette General School of EMT. In addition, Joseph has received training in NERC Reliability Coordinator from SOS International. Furthermore, they have certifications as an MSHA Instructor for part 48 surface from the U.S. Department of Labor and as a NERC Reliability Coordinator from the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC).
