Michael Funk

Michael Funk is a seasoned professional in environmental science and land use regulation, currently serving as a Land Use Regulations Officer and previously as an Agricultural Soil and Water Quality Technician at Upper Thames River Conservation Authority since December 2015. Michael's experience spans various roles in environmental research and agriculture, including positions at Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada, where roles included FSWEP Student and Agri-Environmental Transfer Student. A research assistant in aquatic ecology at the University of Waterloo, Michael also worked as an Agricultural Field Technician at SemiosBIO Technologies Inc. and as a Biologist with Natural Resource Solutions Inc. Michael's educational background includes a Master's degree in Geography and a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science with an Ecology Specialization from the University of Waterloo, alongside ongoing studies in Ecotoxicology at the River Institute.
