Chris Sewell

Chris Sewell has worked in various roles throughout their career. Chris is currently the CEO and Owner of Uprise Electric Company, a smart electric company that offers energy solutions to residents. Prior to that, they were the Chief Operating Officer at Ipsun Solar, where they managed the company's workload, improved operations, and recruited top talent. Chris was also the CEO and co-founder of CleanTech Methods, Inc. and worked as a Renewable Energy Analyst in the Energy Division at Inter-American Development Bank. Chris began their career as a contractor for U.S. DOE Energy Information Administration at SAIC while pursuing their Master's degree in the US energy sector and carbon accounting. Chris also worked as a Senior Climate Change Specialist at Carbonfund.org Foundation, Inc. and as a Program Assistant at 1000 Friends of Maryland, where they managed the operations of three senior staff members, helped with fundraising and managed interns and volunteers for multiple projects.

Chris Sewell obtained a Bachelor's degree (Double Major) in International Affairs and Spanish from Xavier University in 2004. Chris then pursued a Master of Science degree in Energy Policy and Climate from The Johns Hopkins University between 2009 and 2011.
