Konrad Mueller-Auffermann

Konrad Mueller-Auffermann is currently the VP of Technology & Manufacturing Science at UPSIDE Foods. Prior to this, they served as the Head of Research and Development at the Technical University of Munich from February 2009 to January 2015. Konrad is an expert in their field, and at 28 years old, they were one of the youngest individuals to be offered tenure by the Technical University of Munich.

During their time at the university, Konrad supervised around 50 Bachelor and Master students, built a pilot plant, filed and commercialized engineering patents, taught classes, led the hygienic design department, and wrote and presented countless publications. Under Konrad’s leadership, the Research and Development department at the Technical University of Munich flourished. Konrad is a talented individual with a passion for their work, and they have made significant contributions to the field of research and development.

Konrad Mueller-Auffermann received their Ph.D. in Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in Brewing and Beverage Technology. Konrad also received their Diploma Engineer (Dipl.-Ing.) in Brewing and Beverage Technology from the Technical University of Munich.

They are on a team with Nair Flores - VP, Legal, Sheetal Shah - SVP, Supply Chain & Manufacturing, and Robert Kiss - EVP, Technical Operations. Konrad Mueller-Auffermann reports to Uma Valeti, CEO & Founder.
