Laura Yee

Laura Yee, PMP®, has over 35 years of work experience in process engineering and project management. Laura is currently the Senior Director of Process Engineering at Upside Foods, Inc. Since 2023. Prior to this, from 2020 to 2023, they worked at Bayer Engineering & Technology as the Director and Senior Process Expert. Laura also served as a Project Manager for Capital Projects at Bayer Engineering & Technology from 2017 to 2023.

Their early career includes roles at Bayer Technology Services as a Project Manager for Capital Projects - Healthcare from 1996 to 2017, at Quasar Engineering as a Process Engineer from 1994 to 1996, and at Celtrix Pharmaceuticals Inc as a Process Development Engineer from 1993 to 1994. Laura also worked at Scios Nova Inc as a Process Development Engineer in 1992 and at Shell Oil Company as a Plant Process Engineer from 1985 to 1989.

Throughout their career, Laura has gained extensive experience in process engineering, project management, optimization of fermentation processes, and production support for clinical trials. Laura is a skilled leader in the biotechnology industry with a focus on capital investments and manufacturing processes.

Laura Yee, PMP®, holds a Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Chemical Engineering from Mississippi State University. In addition, they have obtained the Project Management Professional (PMP)® certification from the Project Management Institute in June 2017.
