Michael Scharf brings more than three decades of experience in telecommunications consulting, brokerage and sales. His expertise working for industry leaders and startups – and knowledge of SMBs and enterprise clients’ needs – gives him institutional and intuitive ability to address clients’ telecom challenges.
Michael started his career working for AT&T, where he spent more than nine years, held various sales positions within its SMB marketplace, and provided clients with PBX hardware, voice network and data network solutions. He spent 10 years at PAETEC (now Windstream), where he opened the West Palm Beach, Fla., marketplace as Director of Sales. There, Michael built a top-tier producing and award-winning sales team which grew to $12 million in revenue in five years.
In 2009, he co-founded teXium, a Florida-based technology consulting firm serving medium-to-large enterprises worldwide. The teXium business model is solutions-driven and provider-agnostic – tailored to customers’ unique needs, rather than meeting sales quotas with a single-vendor solution.
Along with teXium co-founder Michael Martin, Michael Scharf partnered with UPSTACK as a Partner and Managing Director to continue to support customers with the best service and solutions of voice and data networking, VoIP communications, security, and cloud computing solutions.
One of Michael’s most successful deployments was helping a Private Equity firm move 20 locations internationally that they acquired from a Fortune 500 company onto their own network. This included migration of an international MPLS network, migration of Office 365 for over 4,000 users, a new hosted voice solution, and colocation services.
Michael has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida.
