Matthew Helmick

Matthew Helmick has a diverse and extensive work experience in the live entertainment industry. Matthew has worked as a Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Lighting Crew Chief for large international events at Badger Den Productions, LLC since 2016. In this role, they were responsible for coordinating schedules, managing vendor contracts, budgeting, coordinating travel, and monitoring payments and purchases. Matthew also provided practical and organizational support to directors, performers, designers, technicians, and local crews during rehearsals and performances as a Stage Manager.

Prior to that, Matthew worked at Upstaging, Inc. as a Lighting Crew Chief and System Technician since 2013. At PHNTM, they served as a Production Manager from November 2021 to July 2022. In 2020, they held the position of Regional Director at #WE MAKE EVENTS NORTH AMERICA, where they played an active role in raising awareness about the impact of COVID-19 on the live entertainment industry.

Furthermore, Matthew worked at Brown Note Productions Inc. as a Lighting Crew Chief and Video Technician from April 2011 to May 2019. Before that, they worked as a Lighting Technician at Partech Inc. from November 2010 onwards. Additionally, they gained experience as an Audio Technician at Production Resource Group from May 2012 to December 2012.

Matthew's career in the industry began at Loud & Clear, Inc. in April 2007, where they worked as a Lighting Technician, performing various roles such as handling lighting, audio, staging, EPS, building roof systems, driving trucks, and being a runner and stagehand. Matthew'sexperience at Loud & Clear, Inc. ranged from small neighborhood festivals to US Presidential campaigns.

Matthew Helmick has a diverse education history. In 2007, they obtained certificates in both Recording Engineering and Music Production, as well as Advanced Recording Engineering from the Recording Workshop. In 2021 and 2022, they attended Cornell University, where they earned a Certificate in Project Management. In addition to their formal education, Matthew also holds certifications in OSHA 10-hour Outreach Training in General Industry from the University of South Florida OSHA Training Institute Education Center, which was obtained in 2020. Matthew also achieved certification in L-Acoustics V-DOSC in July 2008.
