Gil Ben-Artzy

Gil Ben-Artzy is a seasoned venture capitalist and operations executive with extensive experience in the startup ecosystem. As a Founding Partner at UpWest since July 2011, Gil has played a pivotal role in aiding Israeli startups to enter the US market, being the first investor in notable companies such as SentinelOne and HoneyBook. Prior to UpWest, Gil held the position of VP in Operations Management at Yahoo! from July 2005 to June 2011, where responsibilities included managing a 50-person team focused on business operations and corporate development. This role involved strategy formulation, acquisitions, and fostering relationships with Israeli investors and startups. Gil began a career in consulting at the Boston Consulting Group from October 2002 to June 2005. Educational credentials include an MBA in Marketing & Operations from The Wharton School and a BA in Economics & Business Administration from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
