DJ Thornton has a vast and varied work experience, starting as a Marketing Manager at the American Society of Association Executives in 2000. DJ then served as a Branch Manager at Corus Home Realty and Charter One Bank / RBS before becoming the President / Executive Director at The Presidents’ Council & The Presidents’ Council Foundation. After that, they founded Thornton Consulting and later held the position of VP Development at Opportunity Finance Network. DJ went on to work as the Director of Corporate Partnerships at United Way Greater Philadelphia and Southern New Jersey, eventually becoming the Vice President of Development & External Affairs at Urban Affairs Coalition in 2019. Throughout their career, DJ has demonstrated strong leadership and fundraising skills.
DJ Thornton completed a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Psychology at the University of Virginia from 1993 to 1998. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Marketing & Finance at Saint Joseph's University from 2006 to 2008.
