Kara Davis

Kara Davis is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in project management and web development, currently serving as the Director of the Office of the CIO at The Urban Institute since August 2016. Prior to this role, Kara worked as a Consultant at Loop Strategies from August 2010 to December 2018, where focus areas included sustainability strategy and user research for socially responsible clients. Experience also includes serving as Project Manager at National Capitol Contracting, LLC, overseeing significant IT projects, including a survey of over 150,000 US military service members. Earlier positions include Project Manager at Viget Labs, managing web projects for prominent clients such as National Geographic, and roles at both PBS and the Peterson Institute for International Economics. Educational background includes a BA in International Relations from William & Mary and an MSc in Strategic Leadership Towards Sustainability from Blekinge Institute of Technology.
