Fred began their career as a Marketing Manager at Elektra Entertainment Group, where they oversaw marketing, sales, and creative activities for artist projects. Fred then moved on to work at Lifebeat, Music Fights HIV/AIDS, where they served as a Project Manager, producing high-profile benefit events and leveraging celebrity talent for fundraising and awareness. Fred later joined VIBE as a Marketing Director, conceptualizing and implementing marketing and merchandising programs for advertisers and partners. Fred then transitioned to ESSENCE as a Promotion Director, developing and executing strategic promotion plans for brand programs and events. Fred also worked at TV One as a Director of Integrated Marketing, collaborating on revenue-generating marketing solutions for clients. Prior to their current role as VP of Integrated Marketing and Strategic Partnerships at Urban One, Inc., they served as a Senior Director of Consumer Promotion and Media at BET, crafting and executing strategy-based promotion plans targeting Black consumers.
